Arwy is a social reading platform. You read and write books chapter by chapter, and as you read, the app connects you with other people reading the same story. Shared taste in books becomes the icebreaker — you can send a match request, chat, and turn a chapter into a real conversation.

Yes. Reading, writing, publishing, libraries and matching all work on the free plan. Optional paid tiers (Plus, Premium, Elite and Elite+) remove ads and unlock extras like text-to-speech, translation, offline downloads, AI spell-check and higher daily match limits.

Arwy is an Android app, available free on Google Play. An iOS version is not available yet.

While you read, Arwy sees which book and chapter you are on and surfaces other readers who are on the same book. You can swipe through suggestions, send a match request, and start chatting once it is accepted. You are never matched with someone just for being nearby — the book comes first.

Arwy is for ages 13 and up, and matching enforces a strict age barrier: users under 18 are never matched with adults, and no subscription or filter setting can override that. Content warnings are mandatory, and we have zero tolerance for content that harms minors.

Yes, and it takes minutes. You write in a rich editor, publish a chapter at a time, and readers can comment on individual lines. You keep all rights to your work — Arwy only displays it within the platform.

Yes. Authors retain full rights to their writing. Arwy is granted only the permission needed to display your work inside the app and its website.

Yes, with a Premium plan or above. Downloaded books stay available without a connection, including their chapters and your reading progress.

The app interface is available in 12 languages, and books can be translated chapter by chapter with a Premium plan. This website and the Arwy blog are in English.

You can delete your account from inside the app under Settings, and everything associated with it — profile, books, posts, uploads and messages you own — is permanently removed. There is no waiting period and no need to email us.

No. Arwy is a mobile app. There was a browser version for a period, but it has been retired so development can focus on the Android app.

Every profile, book, comment and message has a report option. Reports go to a moderation queue that a human reviews. Our rules are set out in the Content Policy and Community Guidelines.

Yes. Writers can receive coin donations from readers, take a share of a monthly reading pool funded by coin sales, and optionally put a price on individual chapters. Earnings convert to real money and are paid out by bank transfer after identity verification, with a minimum withdrawal of 500 coins.
