Terms of Use

By downloading or using the Arwy app, you declare that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms of Use. If you do not accept the terms, please do not use the App.

1. General Provisions

Arwy ("the Platform", "the App") is a mobile application offering digital reading and writing services. The Platform lets users create, read and share literary works.

These terms apply to all natural persons ("User") who use the Platform.

2. Account Creation and Security

2.1 Registration Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
Users under 18 cannot access chapters marked as adult content.
For email registration you must use a valid email address that belongs to you.
If you sign in with Google, Google's terms of service also apply.

2.2 Account Security

You are responsible for the security of your account.
Do not share your password with anyone.
If you notice unauthorized access to your account, report it immediately to info@arwy.life.
You may not transfer or sell an account to others.

3. User Content

3.1 Content Ownership

You own the copyright to the works you publish on the Platform. You grant Arwy a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to display, back up and distribute that content within the Platform and on the public author and book pages of the arwy.life website (see 3.4).

3.2 Content Responsibility

You are fully responsible for the content you publish. The following content is strictly prohibited:

Child abuse or any content that targets minors
Hate speech, racism or discriminatory material
Content that infringes copyright
Misleading, deceptive or fake content
Spam or repetitive commercial content
Content that exposes personal data (doxxing)
Content that incites violence or supports terrorism

3.3 Content Warnings

Marking the relevant content warnings is mandatory for chapters containing adult content, violence, horror or sensitive themes. Accounts that publish without meeting this obligation may face action.

3.4 Publication on arwy.life and search engine indexing

So that writers can be found, Arwy also publishes public profiles and published books as web pages on arwy.life. These pages are open to everyone — including people without an Arwy account — and may be indexed by search engines such as Google.

What may appear on the web: username, first and last name, profile photo, biography, the social links you added, and your book's title, cover, description, genre, rating, chapter titles and a short promotional excerpt.

What is never published on the web: the full text of chapters, the content of paid or locked chapters, drafts, your email address, phone number, date of birth, location, your messages and your reading progress.

You stay in control. To have your public author page removed, write to info@arwy.life and we will take it down. Setting a book back to draft, or deleting it, removes that book's page. Deleting your account removes all of your pages.

Removal timing. Removal from arwy.life is immediate. Disappearing from search engines' own indexes and caches usually takes several days to a few weeks and is outside Arwy's control; on request we submit an expedited removal notice. Arwy has no authority over copies previously taken by third-party web archives.

4. Platform Rules

4.1 Prohibited Behavior

Harassing, threatening or disturbing other users
Attempting unauthorized access to others' accounts
Using the Platform with automated tools (bots)
Attempting to damage the Platform's technical infrastructure
Creating fake accounts or impersonating others

4.2 Intellectual Property

5. Account Suspension and Termination

Arwy reserves the right to suspend or permanently close accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice. Depending on the type of violation:

Minor violations: warning and content removal
Repeated violations: temporary suspension
Serious violations (child safety, criminal content, etc.): immediate permanent closure and notification to authorities

6. Limitation of Liability

The Arwy platform is provided "as is". We do not accept liability for:

Damages arising from content published by users
Technical failures or data loss (although we provide backup infrastructure)
Problems arising from third-party services
Access problems arising from internet connectivity

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are interpreted and applied under the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction over disputes. With respect to the protection of personal data, the provisions of Law No. 6698 (KVKK) apply.

8. Changes

We reserve the right to update these terms. When there are significant changes, you will be informed via an in-app notification or by email. Continuing to use the Platform after changes are published means you accept them.
